What to Expect during Treatment
A FemTouch procedure uses a Lumenis CO2 laser to apply gentle energy pulses to the inner walls of the vagina. During the procedure, your provider will insert an intravaginal handpiece, which can cause some minor discomfort. In addition, some patients report a minor heating sensation or a vibration during the procedure. However, overall this treatment is fast and easy, typically taking two to five minutes to complete.
No Downtime, No Side Effects
FemTouch requires no real downtime and Pittsburgh vaginal rejuvenation patients rarely experience any side effects after treatment. However, for the first 72 hours, you should avoid sexual activity. We also recommend keeping the area moist for a week after treatment, so we may prescribe you a hydrating gel to use during this time. We advise a four to six week interval between the procedures. In many cases, patients experience a significant relief of their symptoms about four to six months after FemTouch treatment.
