Real Care. Real Skin. Real Life.
At the Pittsburgh Center for Plastic Surgery, aesthetic maintenance is treated like any other part of wellness—thoughtful, measurable, and built around your schedule. Our Rejuvenation Center brings medical-grade lasers, injectables, and recovery-focused treatments under one roof, delivered by a warm, highly trained team that values natural-looking outcomes. Here you’ll find options that meet you where you are: small improvements, smart combinations, and a plan you can stick with.
A University of Pittsburgh grad (B.S. Dietetics & Nutrition, 2007) with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University (2009), Kristen spent 13 years in minimally invasive general and bariatric surgery before focusing on aesthetics. She offers the full range of cosmetic injectables—fillers, neurotoxins, biostimulators (Renuva, Sculptra, PRP)—as well as vaginal rejuvenation. Patients appreciate her surgical-grade precision, calm demeanor, and clear, step-by-step planning.
Board-certified by the NCCPA, Katie earned her B.S. in Public Health and Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Slippery Rock University, then completed a focused fellowship in aesthetic plastic surgery under Dr. Armando Davila and Dr. Dennis Hurwitz. She specializes in neurotoxins, dermal fillers, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Katie’s style is subtle and holistic—enhance what you have, protect long-term skin health, and explain every step in plain English. She’s also volunteered on medical mission trips in Peru and Ecuador, reflecting a broader commitment to patient care and access.
Expression lines soften while your face stays you. We favor precise dosing: smooth the 11s, relax the forehead under bright light, and keep smiles genuine. Most patients book every 3–4 months; some extend longer once a rhythm’s set. Expect a clean, rested look that reads well in person and on camera.
Structure drives beauty. We restore shape where it matters—cheek support, slendered nasolabial area, a crisper jawline, or subtle lip balance. Products and placement shift by anatomy; a little does a lot when the map is right. Swelling and tenderness tend to be brief; results are immediate.
Full-field erbium resurfacing removes the outer layer of damaged skin and restores the surface to reveal smoother, healthier tissue beneath. By precisely treating both the surface and deeper layers, it improves etched lines, sun damage, and uneven texture. Treatment depth is tailored by area to balance meaningful change with manageable downtime. Expect a week of redness and peeling as new skin forms, with visible refinement within 2–3 weeks and continued improvement over time.
Our hybrid Erbium & diode laser (HALO) polishes texture, blends shallow acne scars, and softens fine lines—especially around the mouth and eyes. We tailor depth by zone, balancing visible change with practical downtime. Expect pinkness for a few days, flaking as new skin comes through, and a smoother tone within 1–2 weeks. Collagen remodeling continues for months.
A gentle, non-ablative pass that boosts glow fast. It’s a favorite before events or as part of a maintenance cadence. No social downtime; just a clean, tighter-grained surface you can feel. Many rotate EvO between deeper illumineX resurfacing sessions to extend results.
Sun spots and redness fade with targeted light. It’s a reliable way to even tone across the face, neck, or chest with minimal disruption. Spots often darken briefly, then lift; redness calms in a series. We’ll align settings with your skin type and season.
First, we listen. Then we examine skin in good light, photograph for tracking, and review options with honest talk about recovery, maintenance, and cost. If a combination is needed, we’ll stage it—don’t stack everything in one day unless it’s truly appropriate. Expect clear aftercare instructions and easy access to your team via phone if questions come up mid-healing.
Check in, cleanse, and review the plan. For lasers, topical numbing is placed when helpful; for injectables, we use technique, pacing, and distraction to keep you comfortable. After treatment, we apply barrier protection or soothing serums as indicated, review your dos and don’ts, and schedule a follow-up appointment. Most patients are back to routine quickly; we’ll tell you exactly how to plan for work, workouts, and events.
We believe in restored, not overdone. In science that respects individuality. In planning that fits a real calendar. You won’t be sold a trend or rushed through a decision. You will get straightforward guidance, careful technique, and results that age well.
While day-to-day treatments in the Rejuvenation Center are performed primarily by our PAs, nurses, and aesthetic team, care is integrated with our surgical practice for continuity and safety. Dr. Armando Davila leads PCPS with an education-forward mindset—fellowship training, ongoing teaching, and outcome tracking are standard. Academic rigor underlies everything we do, from energy settings to aftercare protocols.
